Peeball's mission has always been simple. Use sport and humour to get men talking about something far more serious.
That mission took Peeball halfway around the world when the International Peeball Federation launched the game in Australia, working with Chemist Warehouse and the AFL Coaches Association to raise awareness of prostate cancer and men's health.
And they certainly knew how to make an entrance.
Painting the Stadium Yellow
As part of the campaign, Peeball arrived at the home of the Adelaide Crows, with thousands of bright yellow Peeball T-shirts covering the stadium seats.
The result was quite a sight. Row upon row of yellow transformed the ground and carried the Peeball message into the heart of Australian sport.
It was exactly what Peeball was created to do. Take a subject that men can sometimes find difficult to talk about and put it somewhere impossible to ignore.
Peeball Across Australia
The campaign saw Chemist Warehouse launch Peeball through more than 300 stores across Australia as part of its support for men's health.
Working with the AFL Coaches Association, the campaign used some of Australian sport's best-known figures to encourage men to think about their health and take prostate problems seriously.
The AFL's head coaches took part in the campaign, helping deliver the message with the humour that has always been at the heart of Peeball.
The question was characteristically direct:
"Have you got the balls to check your prostate?"
Cheeky? Certainly.
Memorable? Definitely.
But behind the joke was an important message about encouraging men to pay attention to their health and seek medical advice when something does not seem right.
$50,000 Raised for Prostate Cancer Research
The campaign did more than raise awareness.
We were delighted when Chemist Warehouse, with the support of the AFL Coaches Association and everyone who bought a Peeball, raised $50,000 for the Australian Prostate Cancer Research Society.
The donation was a wonderful conclusion to the Australian campaign and another demonstration of what Peeball can achieve when sport, humour, businesses and charities work together.
From Britain to Australia
Peeball began in the UK, but the Australian campaign showed that its rather unusual approach to men's health could travel.
Different country. Different sports. Same problem.
Men do not always find it easy to talk about their health.
Peeball gave them something to laugh about, something to play with and, importantly, something to talk about.
And for a while in Adelaide, it also turned an entire stadium Peeball yellow.
Thank You, Australia
A huge thank you to Chemist Warehouse, the AFL Coaches Association, everyone involved in the campaign and, most importantly, everyone who bought a Peeball.
Together you helped raise $50,000 for prostate cancer research.
